When I met my Peri last time, he ordered some blood work to see my Protein S and Protein C levels. They got the results on Friday (Jan 30) while my peri was in conference somewhere. Today (Saturday - Jan 31) he called us (He actually called me - not his nurse or office staff) and left a message saying that all results are normal and there is nothing of concern. He said he is on vacation and doesn't have my chart with him but would call me after he gets back from vacation if he finds anything new in my chart. He called me on a SATURDAY...that too while he is on VACATION. Being a very popular perinatologist in our area, I was amazed to see his voice mail and at the same time happy to be with such a passionate perinatologist who actually thinks about his patients as individuals who are desperate for the most common thing in this world i.e PREGNANCY and LIVE BABY. Isn't it? Isn't it the most common thing in this world and yet we were uncommon to that. After listening to his voice mail, I am feeling little bit relieved today. A ray of hope is budding in my heart...may be I can have a rainbow baby....May be this time, I will get to keep it...May be.... My mom is leaving to India on Feb 7th and we will be all alone in our house on 8th. I am not looking forward for that. I am dreading that day.
